Hello!
Becoming a therapist has been a lifelong dream of mine. Having family members and friends who have experienced depression and suicidal ideation deeply shaped this path—I never wanted anyone to feel the kind of helplessness, stigma, and loneliness I witnessed in the people I love.
My perspective is also shaped by my identity and lived experience. I am a Chinese-Tibetan woman, a second-generation Indian, and a first-generation Canadian. Growing up between cultures, I’ve spent much of my life navigating spaces where I didn’t always feel like I fully belonged. Experiences with discrimination, racism, and prejudice can be disheartening and isolating, especially in a place you call home.
More recently, becoming a mother to my daughter has added another layer to how I understand care, vulnerability, and the complexity of being human. It continues to deepen my appreciation for both resilience and the need for support across different stages of life.
If you’re seeking support, wanting a deeper understanding of yourself, or simply looking for someone to talk to, I’m here for you. I offer a strength-based, non-judgmental, and trauma-informed space where you can feel seen and heard. Therapy is a collaborative process—we’ll work together to explore your current challenges, clarify your goals, and build a path toward meaningful change.
I am currently accepting clients virtually. I would be happy to connect for a free 15-minute phone or video consultation so you can see if I feel like the right fit for you.
Credentials
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from York University (2017) and a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University (2023). Over the past six years, I have been dedicated to working in the field of mental health.
I began my career as an ABA therapist, supporting neurodiverse individuals in developing emotional regulation, cognitive flexibility, and essential social and daily living skills. This experience continues to inform my work, particularly in fostering practical, compassionate, and individualized care.
I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and a Professional Member (non-certified) of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA).
